How long have you been fishing?

“40 years.”

Coolest catch?

“A sand dollar! Getting the hook in there is almost impossible!”

Most memorable trip?

“One day Herman Schenk, the founder of the whole operation for the family, was fishing off the bow which he did every day, and he hooked into a king late into the trip. He tried to hand it off to a customer, it got dropped in the handoff, and everybody was like, ‘Oh my god!’ because that was his magic Fenwick rod. That thing caught fish every day. And then just a moment or two later after it was dropped the stern line bent over like we had a fish on. We brought it up and we had caught the same fish! We grabbed the line, grabbed Fuzz’s (Herman’s) pole, and reeled in the fish. So we ended up not losing anything!”
